    David,
Very sorry to hear you are out of action.
Hope this affliction passes smoothly and you can get back to normal.

David, I know where you are coming from on the pain in the thumb. My Dr. told me 16 years ago that I needed joint replacement in my left thumb.....and from what I feel in my right, it's in the same condition. Haven't done it yet..just been putting up with the "minor" pain. Of course, a good single malt helps.

"What matter sickness to the body of a Knight? What matter wounds? For each time he falls he will rise again and woe to the wicked". Get well soon and be glad that it wasn't both hands.

David.... Now is the time to get in a rip roaring bar fight and use your cast to clear the floor.

Hang in there. Things could always be worse. You'll be back on the course soon enough.

That's what I'm talking about. My arm has so much metal in it with all the bolts and screws and such, it's a concealed weapon ! That's why I said it was my war hammer / mace ! Again I hope you get better soon.
