Penguin Kilt Pin for Antarctica Tartan Kilt

Man, try to find a penguin kilt pin...thought maybe the Antarctic Heritage Trust that sold the fabric would have one...no joy there.

Did find Sue Coccia's work at http://www.earthartinternational.com/ and she was kind enough to design a penguin kilt pin. Just arrived a week or so ago. First chance for pic.

Its more of a regular pin than a kilt pin, lighter for sure. I put a bit of rubber band on the back just in case.

Wanted a penguin since some of the colors of the Antarctic tartan are from penguin markings.

Of course she has many other critter pins to choose from...I'm likin' my penguin.

Nice score on the penguin pin. I think it goes rather nicely with the colours in the tartan as well has being the Antartic Tartan. You'd think that the Antartic Heritage Trust would offer something like that especially if their selling the fabric. Excellent find !

not my cup of tea, but I could see my son wanting one like that. We 'lost' his kilt pin yesterday (I found it last night before bed)

It is a Pikachu (pokemon) pin I used to wear when I worked at Walgreens, but he commandeered it. He seemed to like some I was looking at yesterday, full size ones mind you, but he is 4, he might just stay with his pokemon for a while longer. (Once I figure out if the pin or the clasp was the problem...)

I am not sure that it would be right for me, Ron, but it works so well on your Antarctic tartan. An excellent choice indeed.

If I did choose something from Sue Coccia's catalogue, it would be the crab since I am a Cancerian!

    Take care,
    Ham.

Very very cool, Ron no pun intended. I really like the tartan and the pin sets it off nicely.
