Greetings from Cleveland
Actually, North Olmsted, OH. A suburb of Cleveland, but it's close enough.
I've been lurking here for a while, trolling for tips and pointers.
I'm getting married in May and am going kilted.
I've already purchase my PC jacket and vest and have to give a quick endorsement to the Geoffrey Made For Scottish e-bay store. Hope this isn't inappropriate. I've read mixed reviews of this stuff coming out of Pakistan on several forums, but the price was too good to pass up and I figured it was worth the risk. I completed the transaction on e-bay on 2/18 and my jacket arrived yesterday (2/23). The quality undoubtedly up to par with the substantially more expensive stuff I could get from Scotland or even a U.S. specialty store, but it definitely looks good. At less than $160 shipped, I figured if it turned out to be junk, I'd just write it off as a gamble and get something else. As it turns out, I think it will serve quite nicely, both for my wedding and for the few formal events I attend each year.
Of course, the main event other than the wedding will be the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball, which had a lot of impact on the kilt I chose...
I'll be ordering a standard weight USMC Leatherneck Tartan kilt from SWK within the next week or two. My first kilt.

Welcome and all the best for the wedding.
By the way; they say that Cleveland is the second biggest Slovene city. Because there are so many Slovene living there.

And a big congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
