Thanks for all the comments! Like I said, I am just getting into all of this, with a used sony MVC-CD500 non DSLR. I am hoping to get a better camera for my birthday in may. THe one I am using has only 5 megapixels.....my small pocket sony cybershot has has 10!!
Anyway, keep checking back if you wish, I know there is a lot of photogs on this site, so any critiques and advice is welcomed.
    Cheers,
    Chad

HDR shouldn't be too hard if you have the software. (Though I havn't tried it...)

The logical answer to it would be camera on tripod with bracketing for your shot to give the 3 different exposures, but the software part is what I have yet to try.

I haven't been out shooting since my youngest was born last summer. Should be some nice weather this week, I might get the DLSR back out and have some fun.

Hoping to try this out as well. I've been after a new prosumer camera for the last few years and my wife just let me order a Sony Alpha A700. I am soo stoked its not funny! She wouldn't let me get next day air, so it will probably be Friday before I get it, but after three years a couple days wait should not be that bad.

To be honest, I don't much care for most HDR work since contrast is sooooo important to a photograph's impact.
I'm with Phil on this, I am not a fan of HDR photography.
I suppose HDR has its uses if you want to make your photo look more like a painting than a photo.
