    New kilt ordered

After classes yesterday I spent some time on the phone with my kilt maker Kathy Lare, talking about school and cooking and eventually the details for my next traditional kilt.

Just sent off the initial fundage for a traditional pleated to the sett in Murray of Atholl Weathered in strome.

According to Kathy it's about a six week turn around on the kilt, pretty darn short jones!

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Ain't even my kilt and I'm drooling. Six weeks is a short turn around, but being a full time kiltmaker think she gets them out faster than most.

The more you do a thing the better you get at it.

Enjoyed chatting with Kathy. A delightful lady and full of warmth and humor. Most of our conversation was not about the kilt order at all. A delight to work with.

I just spent an hour talking with Kathy about a kilt on order. Nice lady. Ron, your name came up.

Congratulations! If your kilt is anything like the one that she made for me, you'll love it. She's a great lady.

This is my third kilt from Kathy. She is my go to kiltmaker for tartan kilts.
