    My new "sporran" Jones

I've just ordered a new sporran and I am so excited to get it. I think it will look wonderful with the few Irish tartans I have.

    What's your opinion?

That'll look gorgeous with a SWK saffron too! Nice piece. Where'd you get it?

    I ordered it from www.scottishclansman.com.

Between this and the Thorfinn you are making for me (and tust me I'm VERY EXCITED about that one as well, I feel more than covered for all non-formal kilted situations.

Great looking sporran, not sure you'll get it from that vendor though there have been horror stories about them. Here is a thread full of interesting reading:

Wow! I should have done my homework. I guess I will hope for the best. I did use a credit card, so I can dispute it if needed.

Their price was so much lower than others.....

I'm think it will be good for my Irish National and my County Galway if/when it arrives.

I'd suggest calling Ralph daily to see if it has shipped yet. He's not known for doing anything promptly.

The good and bad of the situation is that the sporran is listed on the Scottish Tartans Museum website, and we all know how dependable Matt Newsome is! The only bad thing is the price is $100 more, so I'll hope for the best and reevaluate the situation if needed.

That's a beautiful sporran.. As soon as I saw it, I thought to myself (because who else can I think to): "needs saffron".

That would be a very pretty sporran to go with a saffron kilt.

Those colors are brilliant. I have a sporran similar to this and I enjoy it much more when I hand stitched and added a cell phone pocket to its interior. The room inside is narrow, so you tend to get caught digging for things.
