The BW Tartan is IMHO, the most versatile "TARTAN" out there. I wear it ( & the Tartans I own that use the BW as their " prime" background.such as My DoA Gordon,Seaforth, & Black Douglas,) for a number of my looks. ( "walk About", "Day Casual", "Business Casual", "Business Dress" to "period "formal".) Note, I am some what, "traditional so I do not wear them with "T"s or "scrunched" hose, but IMHO, that look works for those who enjoy it.

The BW lends itself to a WIDE VARIETY of Color compo's IMHO.
!. Tans, brown & Khaki with Brown Accessory's. ( MoA look as above or "civilian")
    2. Dark Blues, Black, Dark Green,White are basic & versatile, but I also like some of the "light greens",

Basically, it is a TARAn, that you can "go to" no mater the occasion. Here are pix of just a few of the ways I wear the BW & it's variants. I included the socks from BW (Can) just to show "acceptable" colors.

I like RiverKilt's idea of the Ladies From Hell t-shirt.

I was going to suggest khaki socks and shirt, but Robertson beat me to it!

I always stay away from dark hose and shirts with my BW. Khaki is a great choice as it lightens up the overall look, although Puffer looks pretty darned dashing in his photos.

As others said first...pretty much anything will go with the BW
