Sean was a great Bond, think this thing is on the whole the escapades he got involved in were believable, now to much fantasy I feel.

I agree completely with this statement, after recently watching the Connery Bond films on BBC America.
Like how he sticks a hair on the closet door to see if anyone opens it while he is out. That was cool stuff.

The criticism of his attire is a bit much. Anywho, he's Sir Sean and he's friggin awesome, no matter what. My wife would dump me in a heartbeat for time with him...and I don't blame her!! BTW, he's a small part of the naming of my son, Sean 007 or The Green Knight, he's always been badass!

I'm not criticising his attire at all. It's just unusual to see the old fashioned lace jabot worn with the Prince Charlie and Vest. It's more usual to wear it with an old fashioned style doublet like a Montrose.

No offense meant at all to you or any one person in general, so please don't think anything was meant. I was just trying to express the idea that wearing a kilt is in and of itself a great thing and the "rules" are always meant to be stretched and if needed, changed.

As I said before, Sir Sean is was and will always be the best Bond, he is the original, sort of like how Darth Vader was the best of the Sith Lords or how Kirk was the best Captain of the Enterprise, OK so Johnathan Archer was the first, but you know what I mean. Anyway I thought as I did the unthinkable and post pics of a lesser Bond in a Connery thread I would try to redeem myself with a few photos of Sir Sean in a Kilt

I think he pulls off the jabot/PC very well. In fact, I think the other pictures showing the jabot/PC look good too.
Suddenly, I'm a fan of this look. Go figure.

I can't speak about the picture, but I to am a fan of the jabot.
After asking several dozen questions, and probably driving some people crazy with them, then paying close attention to the answers, I have come to the conclusion that it could be paired with just about any of the formal evening jackets as long as a high cut waistcoat is being worn behind it. Some of the doublets, of course, are closed and would not need the waistcoat.
I would think the jabot is the focal point of the ensemble, rather than the style or type of jacket, so... it's all good.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
