Wisconsin Scottish/Celtic Events

Now that Spring is getting closer & the season for outdoor events is around the corner I though I would put up a calendar of Scottish/Kilt wearing events in Wisconsin. This is no means all of them so please feel free to add what ever event you know of.

Sun. March 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM - In Celtic Harmony - Sharon Lynne Wilson Center 19805 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield - Celtic singing & dancing.

Tuesday, March 11 - Highland Heartbeat - Ch.10 (Milwaukee Public Television) at 7 PM.

Saturday March 14th, 2009 - Racine Celtic Night for Literacy - Memorial Hall, 72 Seventh Street, Racine, WI

Sunday, March 15th, Noon to 5PM - Irish Fest

Monday, April 6 – National Tartan Day - I'm wearing my kilt to work that day. There will be a gathering at the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Milwaukee. Celebration starts at 6:00 pm

Saturday, June 6, 2009, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. - Milwaukee Scottish Fest - This event has moved to a bigger area, Hart Park in Wauwatosa.

July 11 - September 7, 2009 Saturdays, Sundays & Labor Day Monday
10:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Bristol Renaissance Faire - They also have a Highland Games event as well as many kilted men wearing 6ft. long swords on their backs ala Braveheart.

Aug. 13 - 16 - Milwaukee Irish Fest

September 4-6, 2009 - The Wisconsin Highland Games - The biggest Highland Games event in Wisconsin.

Thanks for the calendar. I go up to the Milwaukee area almost every year, with some timing latatude allowed, for a couple of weeks. This will help me plan for a diversion while there. Been to the Irish Fest twice so far. The music talent is great, a fantastic facility and venue. I recommend it to all.
