Bruce was a thoroughly decent man, on and off the pitch, and you should be proud to call him your uncle. He showed bravery and dedication to the game in the 'seventies when he played on with a broken arm against a far superior New Zealand team. Some may have said that was foolish, but not to big Bruce's face! I was aware that he had been ill but not that things were so serious. Aye, he'll be missed by more than the family, to whom I extend my sincere condolances.
