He missed out on using that phrase "authentic Highland tartan!"

I just logged onto ebay and sent him a message about how much we appreciate his honesty and humor, with a link to this thread and the forum. Thought the guy would appreciate it and could use the help the forum could provide if he decides he really wants a kilt.

I am so tempted to bid on it, and it's not even my size, just for the laugh.

The seller's main reason for disappointment seems that he was expecting a low-priced traditional kilt. Otherwise, it seems similar to some of the various acrylic items out there. The price he paid, though, does seem high for that.

He even admits that the tartan isn't too bad looking; however, not everyone can wear it well.

I love the guy's honesty. I wish more people in this world were honest. He definately gave me a chuckle. He has a green one up for bids as well.

All right, which one of you bid on it? Fess up!

That would be an ingenious way of reinforcing the rule of always showing up at one of your events kilted.

    Finally! Truth in advertising!

Is that a registered tartan, fashion tartan, or just some plaid fabric stitched together? I like the colors, but I wouldn't buy this "piece of crap."

What's the old saw about "If it's not Scottish, it's..."
