I can only echo what's been said before: Thanks for posting this. It brightened up my day, and very nearly brought a tear to my eye.
By the way, is the kit the boy is wearing a child-sized uniform/costume or is it a "real" military coat that's been cut down to fit him? It would be interesting to know the connection he has to the outfit that his uniform represents.

I'd love to find that lad's ma and pa and shake their hands. With the utter lack of respect shown by so many of the younger generation, it's absolutely wonderful to see a boy that was taught to show appropriate respect.
And, as long as the army contingent didn't break the rules too hard, I'm glad they gave him an eyes right.

That was a very classy thing for the Commander to do.
Thanks again,

Makes me proud to be Canadian.
Even to this day, there's a close relationship between Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.
I'm not military but when I visited the Netherlands and France a few years ago, I was welcomed as a close friend by everyone I met. A Dutch family (who met my parents once almost 40 years ago) welcomed me into their home and treated me as one of their own.
When I spoke to people in Paris I was always shown kindness and friendship. (It's kind of obvious where I'm from when I speak French -- I speak it with a franco-albertain (Canadian) accent)... I even got a discount on a painting I bought because of it... lol

Seldom do I ever replay a video clip more than once. I've hit this one several times today. Makes me rest a little easier that maybe the future won't be so dismal and perhaps even one of my grandsons may be this young gentelman next time around.
