Great job, Big Mikey, they look terrific.

Those will really shine with the tartan, Mike.

    Hey Panache,

You should try Skye Highland Outfitters. They will tak the colors from a swatch or a small clipping from the fringe and match the colors. They hand dye the yarn to match. Their Hose are top notch.

Well I had hoped that someone else had already taken the plunge (and had the pictures to prove it).

It would seem based on Rex's recent review (somewhere Retro Red rejoices in that alliteration ) that Josh's hose are quite nice and for the price quite reasonable.

I'm not in a position at this moment to order though. I need to replace my formal jacket as the rigours of SCD have had their way with my converted tux tailcoat. Luckily I may have a solution to this problem. Once that is taken care of I think it is worth looking into.

If there are others interested in XMTS tartan hose, when I get to point when I start talking to Josh seriously I can start a new thread. Not knowing the first thing about how he goes about making hose ("Darn it Jim I'm a Moderator not a knitter!" ) I wonder what the effect would be if a number of us wanted to order the same pattern of hose?

If there is any price advantage it might be worth it to all of us who want to try a pair of nice hose and share having the very handsome XMTS tartan kilts.

When I am ready to talk to Josh I'll start a new thread.

    Cheers

    Jamie

    Hey guys-
I have worked out a deal. There are some strings though. The order has to include at least 5. THEY CAN BE DICED OR ARGYLL-Discount is 10$ plus forum members get free shipping anyways, so thats 18$ off. 105.$(Diced) & 130.$(Argyll). THIS IS FOR XMTS TARTAN ONLY-NO OTHERS. There is no time limit on this, so you can start saving your pennies. If there are any questions, you have to PM me for any further info. -Josh
