Congratulations on the kilt, Matt's work is wonderful and I'm sure it will give you years of enjoyment, out of curiosity what is the striking tartan?

Rollo, the whole outfit looks very nice.

The kilt is a work of art!

Nice job on the matching tie.

I can't find the pic(s). But I've always thought there should be a Normandy (Normandy) Tartan. Three reasons: give the residents of Normandy a reason to wear the kilt, honor the veterans of the 1944 Normandy Invasion, honor the veterans of the 1066 Norman Conquest that supplied Scotland with many of its clans.

I'm annoyed at myself. There IS a Normandy tartan already. Found it on the registry. I don't fancy it though, which adds to my annoyance.

It was still a good idea, nonetheless.

Being a resident of the Republic of Texas, though -- you really need a Texas Bluebonnet tartan kilt. A good friend of mine from DFW and our clan society's webmaster just received his from Matt, and I'll get to see it tonight at a Scottish function!

    Regards,
