Another work of art by Turpin. I especially like the effect of the solid color of the fur lid being "parted" by the spotting on the sporran front.
    Congratulations.

That one was a challenge, because the pelt was cut up trhe belly (through the spotted part) and I had to sew it back up before cutting out the front panel. But the spots HAD to be centered.

Glad you're happy with it, Chris.

Enjoy it for many years to come.

and here with the fur flap...

It's deep brown leather to match the fur. I am just floored!!! This is such a beautiful sporran. I had it made for wearing to my brother-in-law's wedding and think I may save it until then (OK, maybe not...) Sadly, my wife didn't care for it. You know, she's the type who has banned me from ordering veal in her presence, so her first thought was about the trapping part. It doesn't matter that this hide sat in our basement 15 yrs without seeing the light of day (actually she'd prolly prefer that!) and now it has been converted into something wonderful. AH, well. I love it!! Thanks Turpin!!

Yet another gorgeous example of his work. I simply cannot wait to order one for myself...
