Well done Dan! I did this with both of my SWK acrylic kilts. They were my gateway garments into the world of kilting and they gave me an economical way to gauge my interest in kilts. I was not the first, mind you, I just followed along behind my brothers on the board that lead the way.
Paying it forward is a great way to help another along the path to a kilted life.
Hats off to you Dan - hats off to you!

Dan,
I am glad the kilt has made it to you. Please wear it with pride and know that the payment has already been made. Kilting forward is a magnificent gesture on your part. Thank you for being a member of Clan X-Marks.
When you get a chance, post a picture of yourself in the kilt that the original owner may see it. He is a frequent poster on this forum.
(The post just above this one)
I hope it fits you well for many years to come.

Well done on both your parts. Great to see the old saying " One good turn deserves another" put to use in real life.

well...
The kilt and accessories have been spoken for on my part, and it sounds like they are going to an excited recipient! The recipient also promised photos ;D
Praise to a wonderful virtual community here at X-marks! I have been reading alot of stories like mine, others passing on their kilts to others, and reaching out for advice, and even just a simple kind word. Lots of just "darn right good people" here.
