    XMTS meets BSG

Several of us on the forum are fans of the SCI FI Channel program Battlestar Galatica. I’ve watched it from the beginning. After 5 years tn ends tonight with a finale which will answer many of our questions.

I have picked up a few trinkets and a coat to put together a kilted Battlestar Galatica ensemble. The first dayof spring was a little cold here in Virginia so my new BSG jacket fit the bill. My lass Fiona was quite happy to share the moment. The kilt is a Newsome box pleat in the XMTS tartan. The self tie garters are a gift from my friend MeinFS which complete the look. I wore my SWK nylon cargo sporran. The hat is a skipper hat. A knock off from the Greek fisherman hat minus the embroidery.

Here is the shoulder patch. Cool, eh?

    Insignia Pins

I put the senior flight officer insignia pins on my XMTS shirt.

    BSG Dress Pin

Following Zardoz’s lead I used the BSG officer dress pin as kilt pin. Placing it high on the kilt as my friend Robert (Ancienne Alliance).

It’s been a great show and let’s see how it ends tonight.

It has been a great show. They have a spin-off. Should be interesting to see what track it will take.

That's pretty cool. I love the show. I grew up watching the original series and now, I try not to miss the modern version episodes.

Very nice, Mael. My wife and I just "discovered" BSG late last season, and have become huge fans. The final episode was amazing.
I regularly use a STNG communicator pin for a kilt pin. I'm ready for a BSG commanders pin now.
