I did grow a short but full beard a little over a year ago. I didn't really like it, so I extracted it.

I do, however, usually have a stubble beard that is removed about once a week, and/or before pictures.

My hair looks to be about eleven or twelve inches from the hairline on the back of my neck.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Finally found this thread! I've got long hair and I love it! It's down to the middle of my butt-ish, and I actually have it in a five-strand french braid today just like RiverKilt's on the first page.

    Rocky Butte!!??

Dang, my maternal grandparents lived there and worked at the old Hill Military Academy on Rocky Butte. Hiked and played on most of that rock. Used to use binoculars to watch the drive in movie down below there house. Memories.

Their WWI Artillary piece on display probably got the most attention from me.

I guess I should let my hair grow that long. I don't have much talont for french braiding it, though. I guess I could put it in a simple braid.

My hair is about 4 inches past my shoulder. When I am kilted I keep my hair in a pony tail. I always wear a ball cap. Sometimes I tuck the tail in my cap for a cleaner look. My hair cut I have makes it look like I have short hair. I shave the sides and back of my hair and keep the top long. (Its a lot cooler that way.)

I would post some pics but I have not learned how to do that yet. Sorry

As you can see in my avatar - another long haired guy here. They are almost long enough to get snagged in the buckle of my sporran chain ;)
And I sport a (normally neatly trimmed) beard which gets trimmed back whenever my wife complains about tickling
