A late post Chicago St. Patrick's
My girlfriend took the pics for St. Paddy's day, and I haven't had access to her camera, hence the delay of this post. Better late than never. Here are some pics of the Chicago celebrations for St. Patrick's Day. Unfortunately, no matter how many plans we make to the contrary, we never seem to make it to the parades, or any events that happen outside the bar. St. Patrick's Day in Chicago is often the stereotypical St. Patrick's day for me. Everyone seems to be Irish, everyone wears green, and everyone heads to the bars at 8:00 a.m. when they open. It does make for an interesting afternoon. Enough commentary, pictures:
Here I am in my SWK Irish National with my State's Attorney buddy:
This other guy had a kilt that his grandmother made for him, sorry about the backlighting:
In my constant effort to be more like Jamie, I have gotten my own F-H.C.A.G.:
She looks adorable, whereas I look like I've been drinking:
Lastly, I find it endlessly amusing that this man's job is to prosecute felony DUIs (he drank for 17 hours that day):

I'll bet you didn't drive home, though! Great pictures of you and your lovely lady.

Rob, looks like you had a blast. I hope you put your buddy in a taxi. I sported my Irish National kilt too, but replaced the SWK with a nice 13 oz wool I bought here on Xmarks. Brunch in an Irish pub and a pint of Smithwicks was the extent of my celebration. Hope you survived intact. We need to get a kilt night going soon.

Nice photos. Looks like you all had a great time.
17 hours drinking and I'll bet somebody else drove. Sounds like a good DUI prosecutor to me. Remember, it's not the act of drinking that he is prosecuting, it's the act of driving after drinking that he's going after.

Nobody drove that day except the cabbies. My buddy practices outside of Cook County, so he ended up staying the night in my guest room.

17 hours? Since he is only "renting' the Barley juice, he must have spent + hours at the turn in bucket.

Yeah, before you leave for Ireland. Don't forget the ISAS Highland Games are June 19-20 this year. When is it you will be leaving?
