I have only worn my kilt to our Saturday pancake breakfast, and to the most recent Shrine parade. I guess that I could wear a kilt to lodge, as my brothers know I wear kilts when I can.
The pipes in the photo...are those MacPhersons? They look to be plain turned w/ chalice tops. Been looking into those as of late.
They're a set of Kintails, plain turned, chalice tops, mounted w/ artificial horn. I like their sound and looks. The chanter is an old (40's - 50's vintage) Forbes. My instructors pipes are an older set of Robertsons, when we're going to play together I use the Forbes to simplify the tuning.
Just before I picked up the Kintails, I looked at MacPhersons. Don't know that I've ever heard a set, but I certainly like their looks, and they seem to have a good reputation.
All skill and effort is to no avail when an angel pees down your drones.
