I'd second the notion of Molly's. I believe Molly's is doing a single malt tasting on Friday night before the games... some kind of flat charge at the door kind of thing.
Btw, are we talking evening of night before or Saturday evening after the games? Either? Both? What say the rabble?

I won't be there friday but I will be there Saturday. I vote saturday. Of course this all depends on my study schedule for school. I'm gonna try my best to make it and hopefully a miracle will happpen and my kilt will show before then.

I don't think I'll be partaking in any single malts before the games in case I decide to join in at the beginner's level. But I haven't made up my mind yet. Just not sure what to expect being this is my first Scot festival. But If I don't play, I'll surely be stopping by Molly's table for some "education". Otherwise, Molly's Pub after the games sounds like a winner to me...

Being that these are your first Highland Games, I would suggest a couple of things not to miss. One is you have to partake in some meat pie's. Probably unhealthy but ooooh they taste good. Second, don't miss the massed pipes and drums. They will surely make your heart race and blood boil. They all ways do so for me.

What about a Kilt night for the Ones who can make it. Maybe sometime within the next few weeks. Just so some of the locals can get to know one another before the games. Then who knows maybe monthly kilt nights.

Usually I would be chomping at the bit, but I don't have a kilt yet, it probably won't be here untill late March or very early May. Plus I have school so my schedule is dictated by study LOL

I like the sound of all of that, 7 miles.
I actually don't have my kilt yet... but JUST got the email... the kilt is being put in the mail tomorrow!!
I've got a real busy stretch at work through April 8 or so and then things calm down a bit.

it'll have to be a Friday or Saturday night for me. I would also prefer early evening since I have about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive to the coast depending on the town or city.
