I intend to go kilted that day. Wearing a kilt routinely at work is not an option for me, but I can get away with wearing one periodically.

If by some miracle my new kilt is here in time, I'll be at the office kilted next Monday. Otherwise, most likely not. My current one needs to go to the tailor and get shortened!

But unfortunately, it's easier to ask permission than to find a new job.... so alas I will not be going to work kilted....

If my new kilt is here by Friday I think I'll give it a try on Monday.

I expect I'll take some flak from the boss, my co-worker has already seen me kilted a couple of weeks ago when the boss was out of the office.

I'm a bit puzzled about the number of people who have said they are prohibited from wearing a kilt. If they are in an office like environment and there is no safety reason (such as working with rotating machinery) I don't understand the grounds for a prohibition. If women can choose to wear a skirt or pants, then why should a guy not have some freedom of dress?

Understand, I don't work in HR and there are undoubtedly things I don't know about regulations that might govern such behavior. Can somebody shed some light on the question?

    Thanks.

I will be attending a Burns Supper-esque event that evening sponsored by the local Scottish Heritage Society. Should be great fun!

Tartan Day in Ottawa Canada will be celebrated on Sunday April 5 on Parliament Hill from 12PM to 1PM weather permitting. Come and join us and celebrate our heritage and represent your clan by wearing your kilt.

The Sons of Scotland Pipe Brand (oldest in Canada) will be putting on a show.

I will be at Tartan Day at Ardenwood park in Fremont, CA. I'm organizing a Heavy Athletics tent, with demos during the day. Any and all Nor Cal gents and lasses who aren't going to Palm Springs to see Hamish, are welcome to stop by.

I will be performing with a Living History/Renaissance re-enactment guild at Ardenwood Park in Fremont, CA on the 4th and will be kilted. I will also be wearing a kilt on Monday the 6th as I am usually off from work on Mondays and Tuesdays. Any of the Nor Cal Rabble that wish to drop by are more than welcome. Just look for the red and purple tents set up in the living history area.

I will be attending our Wisconsin Scottish organization"s Tartan Day dinner at a brew pub in Milwaukee. Should be fun. Scottish inspired dinner paired with a different beer for each of the 5 cources. And a whiskey tasting as well. Now that I think of it I should get a hotel. Can't drink and Drive.
