I saw a news clip about pesticides in africa, Kenya I think it was, the local farmers that they talked to were wearing toga type garments in a plaid or tartan like arrangement. if you threw a belt around it it would pass for a kilt type garment.
That would be the Maasai people.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maasai#Clothing You can see here that they wear plaid clothing, but it certainly wouldn't be mistaken for a kilt.

Thinking of the number of top quality ace kilts one could have got for that money I would have to conclude that Sir Sean has more money than sense!

i don't think that its the Cashmere Kilt. It looks alot like the New York City Tartan, but I could be wrong!

    Don't think so!

I bet it is just marketing hype. Sir Sean is too Scottish to spend that much for a kilt.

Well, cashmere is a kind of a wool, though it comes from goat and not a sheep. And it is generally more expensive than sheep's wool for it's soft, silky quality. I am curious how well it holds a pleat. The article described it as being a delicate textile - which seems an odd choice for a kilt.

Nevertheless, I can imagine how much fun it would be to strap on a silky smooth, £5,000 cashmere kilt.

    Rex.

I wonder what Sir Sean would be willing to pay for a pair of cashmere hose? I'd make them for $1,000. Maybe even $750, if I got plenty of autographs.

This is probably the 15th time I've seen that photo of Shir Shean, and I just noticed where his flashes are.

Why, a child of five could understand this. Quick -- someone fetch me a child of five!
