I'll be at work kilted on the 6th, I work in a seperate building from the clinic at Ft. Meade, even though when I've been in the main building kilted, I've had positive comments from both staff and patients. One patient told me of how during WWII he trained with British troops who were kilted, and as he said" Some of the best damn soldiers I ever had the pleasure to fight along side of.", pretty impressive if you ask me.

We're hosting a Bloodmobile at work that day, so I'll probably have to shuffle chairs and tables, etc...yes, kilted.

Unfortunately for me, my kilt is still in Oklahoma (haven't seen it in over a year). Plus, Uncle Sugar wants me to wear my pretty ACUs to work everyday, so no kilt day for me.

I'm not sure I'll really be going anywhere, so I don't know if I will. Hubby hasn't bothered to ask if he can wear his kilt to work -- I think he pretty much figures he can't (and he might not be in the mood to try it right now anyway).

Have fun, for those of you wearing your kilt to work, etc!

Informed my boss today that the 6th is National Tartan Day and he asked if I was going to wear my kilt. I told him I was and thus ended our only discussion of a non-issue. I've also been asked by some co-workers if I'm going to wear a kilt - so I can't let them down.

I wear tartan ties quite a bit, so its not like this comes as a big surprise to anyone that I want to wear my kilt.

I think it's safe to press the issue!

    Cheers,
Since my last post was deleted, I wish only to express that the current chief executive may not share the previous enthusiasm for celtic day. Public empoyees, especially federal employees, should exercise caution and discretion regarding the kilt and the workplace.

If this post is also deleted, then I may need to reassess this use of my time.
