There have been a few postings on this issue of late. You might want to do a search and read them. It does seem some areas are not as accepting as others. (wow! )

General recommendation, I believe, is that you might want to check the authorities first.

I just returned from jury duty last week. I did not wear a kilt to the "choosing" nor during the trial. I didn't want to standout during the selection and certainly didn't want to distract during the trial........just my thoughts and actions...as they say "your mileage may very!"

There was a high-profile trial (Whitewater) in which one of the jurors wore a Starfleet uniform every day.

Since you're a Petit juror, why not wear a petti-coat? Klinger would!

Since I have a Houston mailing address, but live in an unincorporated area in the next county I dodge the bullet on jury summons most of the time. But if I ever get one, I will show up kilted.
Most judges around here are pretty strict about court 'dress codes', and they have absolute power about what happens in their courtrooms. I know a guy at work who had to re-schedule a traffic court hearing because he was wearing shorts and the judge wouldn't hear his case!
I think someone wearing a kilt to jury selection around here would just get labeled "eccentric" by the lawyers and not picked, but you never know.

LOL! It took me a minute or two to come down off that one.
