I don't remember Scrooge wearing a kilt, and while trying to find a google image of it (I did find one of a young Scrooge in a kilt) I came across this great panel of Hank McCoy wearing a kilt.

Scrooge's rival was kilted. and near the end of the opening sequence for Duck Tales he can be seen in his kilt racing with the non kilted Scrooge.

When I was young, I used to watch Ducktales all the time. Scrooge McDuck donned a kilt for most special occasions. I don't remember a Christmas episode where he's NOT in one. And in "Mickey's Twice upon a Christmas" Santa give Huey, Duey, and Luey each a pair of earplugs with a note saying "You're gonna need these..." after which Scrooge opened his gift: a set of bagpipes. He then strutted around the mansion in his kilt playing...something... on the pipes.

LOL, geez guys, I feel old, since I also remember watching it every weekday, at 3 pm on channel 13 here in the Seattle area.

Except that the 'hilts' of the canes are not in the correct position. And neither are Mickey's, although Mickey has the correct sword on top. Their finger positions are also wrong.
And no where in the Sword dance does a dancer jump that high. Now, if you were to place them on the ground doing exactly what they're doing in the air, you've got a fantastic pas de bas position, although then their hands should be on their hips when doing closed pas de bas.
