My first time, with wife and (hoepfully) kilted infant son in tow, for this event. Not sure yet whether we will be camping for the weekend or just coming up for all or part of the day, probably Saturday. Would love to be involved in whatever get together/picture session/ toast to new friends can be arranged.

Hmmm . . what time are you guys talking about meeting there? We'll be there all day Saturday. We went last year and, I walked around all day, wondering if any "X-Markers" were there . . LOL.

We have a double thread going so I will continue here. I too will be there Saturday weather permitting (and if work does not get in the way). Last year was my first year to attend. Enjoyed all the activity. Don't want to miss the British Car Show. Ran into Kiltman and his wife.
If anyone is familiar with the layout pick a location and time for the "X-Markers" meeting.

Mike,
EagleJCS suggested the cross. There is a big celtic cross in between the vendors and the games area (I think this is the cross EagleJCS is talking about??). Here is a picture of it:

That would be the one Jimmy. Now to pick a time.
As I said before, I'm competing with the Louisville Pipe Band, so if you REALLY want me to be there, it would have to be after the Grade 5 competition (probably 2:30-ish) or a couple of hours or so before the opening ceremony/massed bands (which starts noon-ish). I won't know what times until the day of, so don't schedule a time based on my availablility.

Last year Mrs. Kiltman and I attended the Kentucky games and met Mike from Dayton. It was a wonderful time. Too bad we're not in Cincinnati this year or we'd be there.

John, you're on a time restriction, per se. So, I will work around your "schedule" . As well as anyone else. Whatever everyone feels is a good time, I'm up for it .

I was there last year. Hope to have a meet up. Like I posted before I'll be camping at the park that weekend, so if any one would like to stop by afterwards and poke a stick at the fire and have a refreshmant you would be more than welcome. Just set the time for the meetup, and I'll be there (good Lord willing)!
How about this to be able to recogize a fellow Xmarker
Just copy this pic. print and laminate it and wear it as a badge. What do you think?
