    Custom Diced Hose

The first pair of hose are custom made diced hose, in colors to match my reproduction colors MacQuarrie tartan kilt.

I am absolutely 100% thrilled with the way these hose turned out. The colors could not be a better match with my tartan.

A bit of background on these hose, to illustrate how thrilled I am. I first got this kilt for my wedding back in 2000. I had some cloth left over from it, and eventually had a matching waistcoat made. Ever since I saw the kilt and waistcoat together, I knew that a pair of diced hose in those two colors would complete the outfit.

I even went so far as to contact J. Higgins about getting a pair. At the time, they were offering custom made diced hose, in colors to match your kilt, at a very affordable price. This was before their quality reputation started to go south. I sent them a swatch of the material, and they sent it back with a note saying it was impossible to match the colors. I was dissapointed, and pushed the idea of a custom pair of diced hose to match this kilt to the far back burner.

That is, until I had the opportunity to work with Josh. When I tried these hose on with the above outfit, I really felt like this kilt finally had everything it needed to be complete. I love these hose, and I feel great wearing them with the ensemble you see above. What more can I say?

For those of you glancing at the other elements of the outfit, the jacket is an Argyle jacket, made by Lochcarron, in their "weathered green" Reiver cloth. The sporran is a Ferguson Britt Duin Uasail made from Mahogany deerskin. The tie is one of the solid kilt ties we sell, also made by Lochcarron.
