The end of a 7 month Jones

Well rabble, this is the end of the hardest jones I have ever gone through. Seven months ago I asked a lady at my church if she would knit a pair of hose for my upcoming xMarks tartan kilt. She graciously agreed with the understanding that she had never knit hose before. The two of us and out spouses went to the local knitting store and chose the wool necessary for her to knit these hose. Week after week, I would watch her knit on these and watch the progress. Each week it got harder and harder to not push her to get them complete. However, during the service yesterday she presented me with the following....

(click on the image for a larger view).

Now it is time for me to live up to my promise of wearing the completed hose and kilt to the service on the 19th of April!

All I can say is WooHoo!

don't get me wrong, i wasn't meaning to demean them in any way, I was just commenting more to how the OP said the knitter had never done those before.

Brad, these hose are your fault you know. The tartan swatch you sent was used to select the colors. So many thanks to you as well!

Very Nice Mike! Is she aware that her contact information has now become a very valued commodity?

Those are very nice looking hose. They are even more amazing due to their "first go" status.

They will look great with an XMarks kilt, congrats!
