I went for regimental as soon as I got my kilt. It just seemed right. Last Saturday I hoofed it doubletime from Penn Station (34th St.) to 49th St. on a relatively windy day in Manhattan wearing my "un-wool" kilt and had no problems at all. I can't imagine what situations might be a problem unless I had to perform karate kicks to defend myself. And I imagine a heavy wool kilt would be even better at staying where it's meant to be.
