the advice is , and always has been with these things, you decide what you want to do,
I'd like to run with that for a moment. We should not lose sight that for all intents and purposes this forum is a very small (although rather vocal) group of people expressing their personal views on things kilted. When it comes to how to dress, no one speaks for anyone other themselves. We all have our views, life experiences, prejudices, etc.
I can't presume to speak authoritatively for my neighbor, coreligionist, and least of all my nation. (As the Chieftain of Clan Monkey@Arms, however, my word is law on all M@A related topics.
)
When others post strongly held views, it is sometimes useful to remember that what is true for them is not necessarily true for all, it is just one person's opinion (and that the repetition of that position in multiple threads still doesn't make it any more than the view of the poster.)
