Single Men - I Think I've Figured Out the Obvious
So what is the deal with women being attracted to men in kilts.
Ta Dah! It gives them the opportunity to initiate contact with men they are attracted to.
Yes, there are self-assured women who aren't afraid to make the first move to a man they are attracted to. But a man could die of loneliness waiting to meet one.
Them Sadie Hawkins dances come only once a year.
I'm guessing that most women pretty much expect men to approach them, initiate contact, then its up to the lady to decide if she want's to pursue getting to know the brave lad who initiated contact.
I'm also guessing most women would think it a bit brazen to approach a man they are attracted to, but don't know. So they work out all sorts of methods and ploys to initiate contact.
But a man in a kilt! Hey, just walk right up to him and say any of the usual opening lines about kilts.
Wearing a kilt makes it EASY for a reserved lady to approach us. It gives her a socially accepted opening to initiate converstation with us.
And, when a lady takes such a social risk its now up to us to be genial and decide whether to get to know the lady further.
Works in person or on the Internet dating sites.
So, if you're a single guy kilts are the answer to loneliness...IF you stand tall and wear your kilt where the ladies are.
If they work for a 64-year-old fat guy trust me, they'll work for you healthy youngsters too.

Wearing a kilt certainly gets you noticed. It also gives the ladies an excuse to start a conversation without seeming precocious. Where you go from there is up to you.

I'm not sure if the "ice breaker" properties explain the power of the kilt. Women aren't just "able" to talk to us men in kilts, they can't help it. They end up beside themselves.
I belive that your theory has merit, but I think that there is more going on with the power of the kilt than can be explained by your theory. Something magical, mystical, and far more powerful than a female's willpower!

Obviously, you've got to have good knees, or "bonny knees" as we call them, with a moderate growth of hair on them. The mystery of the kilt will do the rest.
Do not underestimate the power of the kilt.

Hmmm, as I understand this game to be played, the male is supposed to chase after the female until she catches him, so his male ego believes that he is in control. I guess when the male dons the kilt it is supposed to signify that he believes he is already in control and the chase is no longer needed?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Like Riverkilt, I am a 62 year old senior citizen. Unlike Riverkilt, I am fluffy not fat, and shave my head, don't have flowing locks to my waist. But, the results are the same. Many ladies, both young and old, can't resist the opportunity to speak to the kilted. Woohoo!!

fudgeman we're about the same. except I have the long flowing locks still and a face full of beard, and the ladies, young and old approach and talk to me, married and single, at times the mates don't seem to approve but that bothers me little, they take the first step, I just smile real BIG at them in the first place.
