NYC Tartan Day
Some of the NY Metro Rabble will be meeting for a pre-parade brunch at the Playwright's Tavern on West 46th Street (off Broadway). I know reservations are requested, but if we're not overwhelmed with last minute attendees, I'm sure the restaurant can handle it!
Meet time is 11:30, with a post-parade pub crawl on the way to the official post-parade party for some of us.

Beth and I will definitely be there with you to watch the parade, and the pub crawl afterwards, and we have tickets to the big blow-out at Stout (as I assume you do). We might come for the Brunch, but that makes for a pretty long day, so we are "iffy" on that one. But we are totally psyched for the rest!

I hope to see you guys at Stout's. It's been a long time. A year goes really fast.
Also, I'll be marching with the New York Celtic Dancers at the tail end of the parade. Some of us will be dancing Broadswords in front of the reviewing stand. If anyone is going to Ellis Island this Sunday, we'll be dancing there, too.

Great pictures... I was there and while we didn't meet... I met the 2 lads from Scotland you took pictures with... the waitress in the background of one of the pictures was my FAVORITE

Well, the brunch at Playwright's Tavern was excellent and the parade was great. I haven't seen a parade as good in years. My wife Nina and I had a great time. Probably because of the good company. We will definitely have to get out and do it again sometime. My regrets that we didn't hang around for the post-parade events.

Thank you for posting these! It was a great day, with wonderful company throughout the day, and lots of fun events.
I'm also glad about how my new Tewksbury kilt shows.
