Il me semble que dans une des paroisses du doyenné de Thiberville il se trouve un "mini" cimetière militaire canadien.

De mémoire, une histoire que l'on m'a raconté enfant, un avion canadien se serait écrasé dans un champ à proximité de l'église.

Pour plus de détails, il faudrait voir avec mon père. Et oui, toujours ma mémoire "de poisson rouge"...

The Dieppe raid by mostly Canadian forces was the first attempt to establish a beachhead in Europe. It was an unmitgated disater.

Thanks you for this reminder of the personal cost of war.

Thanks for posting. Fathers first cousin buried in Brettville-sur-laize. Killed July 25,1944 in later stage of Normandy invasion.
