Thank you for this post. My father was involved in Dieppe somehow, someway. Never talked about it other than to say he was "in it" answering a question from a letter to him from home. Was a Flying Sergeant with the RAF flying Hurricanes. Where on that day, have no clue. But Dieppe is an important event in our family. Good to see those who gave all so remembered.

Very poignant pictures.
My wife had an older relative, born in Toronto, Canada, to Scottish parents who had emigrated to Canada.
He volunteered in World War II and became a RAF pilot.
At the age of 21, he was shot down during 1942 while on mine laying operations off the coast Lorient in western France and his body was never recovered from the sea.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
