Bad influence or not, thanks for all the words of encouragement from everyone here. I love all of it.

Welcome to the asylum. For just bumming around you might consider the Thrifty. When I get home from work, I often doff my pants and don my Irish National Thrifty. The velcro makes it easy to put on - I use it like a bath robe. And for $30 I don't worry about spilling something on it.

I used to have a terrycloth "bath towel" that had velcro along one edge so that it could easily be wrapped around your waist. Thought it seemed pretty weird at the time. But now I've discovered kilts and no turning back!

Well, I am ordering some hose and a flat cap (I know...I know...I was wearing one way before I started wearing a kilt) today as well. Maybe I will throw some flashes in for luck.
