My post count is pretty low but I've been kilted full time for four years now. Without doing the math I can guarantee I've spent $2500 per year on kilts and accessories. Most of my 40 kilts cost between one and two hundred dollars, a few were three hundred. Then there are the kilt jackets, waistcoats, ties, hose, sporrans, sgian dubhs, kilt pins, belts and hats. I have an extensive wardrobe and use it well, rarely wearing the same ensemble twice. Dressing well is an art that I practice every day. How do you put a price on art?

Great Question...been a while for me, but I know I was already deep into kilts and active on other kilt boards when Steve Ashton of Freedom Kilts clued me in about X Marks. Know I had at least two Freedom Kilts, three AmeriKilts, two SportKilts, three Pittsburgh Kilts when I got here and my first hand sewn tank from Kathy Lare arrived a month after I joined here....and a lot more with the accessories. So, I was in deep!

I am sorry, but as I am a happily married man and intend to stay that way, that information can never be put into writing...

I am of little help to the kilt attire trade. As far as I can recall, I don't think I have bought any new kilt attire since 1995.Hose maybe, but then I buy those for going with my shooting attire.

I don't even want to think about how much I've spent. No matter how many posts!

I was probably @ 150 when I hit 100, I can't remember if I had ordered #2 yet, which was right before Halloween (I went out as Mung Daal, so needed a red kilt) which added about 80, I know I had gotten my kilt belt before that, (30?) and the sporran hangers I think I bought at the same time as the RS. (I modded them a week ago, which was about $1.50 to add) And earlier this year I added another ~120 when I added a SWK thrifty and a SWK gordon. Then I almost gave Rocky my entire paycheck this week, he might well get the next one though. I want to finish some things around the house first, so this check stays in my pocket. Until today when I go down to Dayton.

Haven't spent a dime on Scottish apparel since joining the forum - had all my stuff beforehand.
Haven't really spent much at all on anything - no income to spend!
