    I would say

Happy medium. Hopefully it becomes more accepted.

I like the attention, but I would be happy for a middle of the road life style.

I voted for the happy medium. That is more or less the situation here in Boston. There are many people from many cultures in the city, and with it many clothing styles on both men and women. There have been occasions on the subway where a gent in a Brooks Brothers suit, a gent in Fubu jeans fastened below the buttocks with an oversized T-shirt, a gent in skinny rocker jeas with tight T-shirt, and a gent in a tartan kilt kit, and a gnet in a Sarong are all conversing about the fortunes of the local sports, and do not care how each other is attired. The rest of the passengers in the car seemed not to care either.
    The way it should be.
    Cheers

I know that I don't really count in this, not being a man wearing a kilt, but I did vote to be the star of the show. As an insecure, cancer star sign, I always need plenty of reassurance that I'm the center of attention.

Makes you wonder why I married a man like Jamie, huh?

But he always makes sure I'm the star, and that's why I love him.

I also make sure he's always the star too. Even if he thinks he likes a happy medium, I think he's just trying to be modest.

    Be well,

    Star

Life would be boring if we ALL hid behind the potted palm in the corner and tried to blend in with the wallpaper.

My biggest problem is with how odd those around me find it. I mostly just wish they didn't.

    ...What Riverkilt said...
My primary attraction to the kilt is comfort. I do take to heart much of the advice I find on XMarks, but not at the expense of comfort. I would love to feel at ease in a kilt in any situation -- casual or dressed up -- and not realize any difference of meaning between "Nice kilt!", and "Nice slacks!" I do like to dress nicely, but don't like to stand out. If wishes were horses...
Some may say the glass is half full,
Some may say it's half empty...
But a Scot will forever say,
"Ar' ye gang tae swally tha'?"

I like wearing kilts, but most of the time, I prefer to not be noticed. As such, I voted to not be looked at twice. When I want to be noticed, I don't need my clothes to make it happen (wait, that didn't come out right)

The one exception I would make is that I am always happy to get a little attention from a lady. If the occasional comment or impish grin were to disappear, that would be a loss.

Another happy medium here; I can only recall one directly "negative" comment ("Hey, nice skirt!" from a group of teens that went by at high speed in a car), but that may have something to do with the fact that I look like Chuck Liddell. Every other comment has been either curiosity, wondering where they can get one, or downright complimentary. I also have to admit I like the occasional admiring glance, especially from the ladies :-)
