A new semi-trad kilt in Ancient Campbell from USAKILT, 3 kilt pins from Family Farm & Home, 2 pair of hose from Highland Fling here in Michigan, and a new sporran from Donnie at Wyvernlaetherworks which I just recieved 2 days ago. About $380 I estimate! I don't think being a member of this forum makes me spend more, it just helps with finding out where to find things I like!

I am rapidly approaching post #5000 and have never kept track on how much I have spent to date! I would probably faint!

When I hit 100 posts I had already spent well over $10,000.00. I bought an industrial sewing machine, 25 bolts of fabric, built 3 tables for laying out Kilts and Ironing, and converted my dining room over to Kilts.
By the time I hit 1000 post I was into this Kilt stuff to the tune of about $1,100,000.00. But that includes the $750,000.00 I spent for my shop building.
Dang, I should have started on Cocaine as an addiction, it's cheaper.

I never thought that way, I would be afraid of the cost. I really cannot remember my 100th post.
Yikes I am old.

Yeah but you would look pretty stupid running around naked smoking crack, instead of looking grand on a daily basis wearing and making kilts.

Could be worse, that could have been USD instead of CAN.

Didn't Matthew McCaungehey, (no I can't spell his name, and I ain't looking it up either.) get arrested for playing his drums naked while smoking pot? That would be one helluva news article, naked druggie making clothes but refusing to wear them.

Sure this forum has contributed to get me buy more kilts and accessories. I haven’t calculated how much I’ve spend on the stuff and if I one day did I wouldn’t tell my wife.
I do hope, however, that the advertisers are aware of the market growth created here and the potential.

Great responses one and all...
I am also a guitarist. I had found a forum a few years ago. I started with one guitar that I had for 11 years. Fast forward 3 years, I now own 20 or so, from $100 cheapies to $1100 Les Pauls and everythign in between...
I kind of hope that this doesn't follow the same route.... but I have a feeling it will
