McClef Enters the Ancient Order

McClef slowly walked down the natural passage, his steps lit only by the torch he carried. He wasn't sure what to expect, but he had heard rumors. Would he be expected to subject himself to the frat-boy hijinks, or would his task be more difficult. Could they really expect him to hunt down a Greater Acrylibeast???

He stepped into the chamber where he saw the eleven current members of the Order looking down at him.

"Why are you here?" an ominous voice asked.

McClef squared his shoulders, but couldn't stop the shaking of his knees. "To join the Ancient Order of the Kilt!" he answered.

"Well," said the voice, "normally we would have you perform some outlandish task, but our budget is tight this year. Welcome to the Order!"

I still appear to be showing as a Grand Defender, presumably whilst my new insignia is being made up at the Queen's jewellers.
