    I did an experiment and Scotch Guarded half of some small swatches of fabric I had in the shop.
    I did Lochcarron Wool in 16oz. I did F&K 13oz. Merino Wool. I did Marton Mills P/V, and I did Acrylic from Stillwater.

    The Wools, and the P/V worked really well. Not so well on the Acrylic.

    I'll see if I can dig up the swatches. If I can't find them I'll do the experiment again and post photos.

    My advice is DO NOT use Scotch Guard on any fabric without testing it on a hidden section or sample swatch first.

    Steve, your tests will be something I will be waiting for. I have a kilt coming that should be primarily for grunge work.
