I hope Mike doesn't mind my posting his photo - I left my camera sitting on the kitchen counter!
Apparently I missed the memo on the dark shirt dress code!
In attendance were my bud, Ken; Trevelyen of Cornwall by way of St. Paris, Ohio, a new member of BotK; myself; the amazing photographer Billy Crafton in an awesome leather Union Kilt; Mike in Dayton; and Sathor of Piqua by way of Ikea.
The conversation ranged from geocaching, to photography, to how to test for Guinness drinkability, bands, family histories, friends in kilts, tartans, and New World Celts. I had a great time and enjoyed everyone's company considerably.
Claddagh was very accommodating. We were there from about 6:45 to 9:00 or so. The wait staff, management and chef were all very attentive. The food was decent and in at least one case "a taste of home."
Nearby was a group of young things enjoying some sort of after-prom thing. I caught one of the gals in a bright pink frock trying to take our photo on the sly, and she turned the color of the frock. The waiter said she was trying to get a shot of my 'stache, but I can't imagine what's so interesting about that. I think it was the kilts.
Thanks again, Mike, for organizing it!
Regards,
Rex.
