Day in Manchester
Went to visit my mate Phil last Saturday. I've known him since we were both at school so it's a bit of a long standing friendship. He now lives near Manchester and I've not seen him for quite a while so it was great to catch up again. While visiting we went out for a pint or two in a local Pub that serves JW Lees Bitter and Dark Mild. JW Lees is brewed nearby in Oldham. Both wonderful pints if I may say so.
I was wearing my Bruce Modern which although didn't attract any comments, certainly turned a few heads and drew some quizical looks. Phil, as you can see, is a confirmed trouserist and despite much badgering from me, continues to resist the power of the Kilt.
Me and Phil outside in the beer garden.
This session, our Kilted model is wearing:
~ Black pinstripe jacket, formerly part of a suit but converted to Kilt jacket by my very clever Mother-in-law.
~ Black Polo shirt with "Boddingtons" Logo - how appropriate.
~ Kilt in Bruce Modern pleated to sett.
~ Black embossed leather Kilt belt and Black enamel and silver waist plate.
~ Stillwater Kilts Nylon Cargo Sporran on a black leather belt.
~ Lodden Green Kilt socks with red and yellow argyle tops (Without Flashes)
~ Black leather shoes, (highly polished).
Quite the dapper chap, though I say so my own self
Lovely Wife and me.
Mmmmm, Lovely wife is also a confirmed trouserist it seems.
again with all of the above... and pint of said JW Lees
Back at Phils Gaff. (Mobile Phone pic. Sorry)

You look like a Million Bucks, or 700,000 Quid, depending on the exchange rate.
Your Bruce looks great - how many yards and who made/sold it?

It's a custom made, hand sewn, 8 yard, Lochcarron Strome (16oz) pleated to sett and made by Carol Fitzherbert, a Kilt maker based in the UK and from the Keith Kilt School who has made more than 600 Kilts before mine. I'd recommend her to anyone; and have to some. Her work is phenomenal!

Dapper's the word! Very sharp, especially the kilt and hose and a great job by the Mother-in-law on the jacket conversion.
