Yes I feel good about finishing it. I've taken what I've learned from it and I'm applying it to my other projects.
BTW soon as it was out of the dryer this afternoon the rogue had it pressed and was wearing it tonight. He got quite a few compliments on it. He did make one request of me. He wants me to move the cargo pocket up 3 inches. That shouldn't be difficult.
He was so happy that he could put everything that he normally carry's in his p-word pockets in his cargo pocket. "Who needs the p-word again?"

You should feel good!!!!
Pocket position was the issue that I have considered as a potential problem. It should be higher (where the sporran usually is).

I'm saving it up for when I goof up big time.
At what height, should the sporan hit? (just curious)

Well done, Shanntarra!

You'll hear some rules of thumb, such as "N fingers below the belt" or "a handsbreadth below the belt" --- but then, one may not be wearing a belt. It's an individual preference, balancing several factors:
Allows me to sit down.
Helps to hold down the apron when I sit.
Does not cause discomfort or personal injury. One advantage of a sporran with sporran strap is that it can be slid to one side to drive, walk, run, climb a rock face...
There's an esthetic component too. For instance it does not look "right" swinging at knee level. Check out the "style threads" here for plenty of good examples.

Thank you for the visuals. That really helps me get proper placement of things.

The sporran height guideline that I find easiest to remember is this one from the Casual Kilted Pictures thread.

Trust that you're not suggesting fishing flys . Good work on the kilt.

Nice job on the X-Kilt! It looks great! I'm interested in how the front cargo pocket works in action.
