New Solid Kilt, USAK

Ahem ... I didn't suspect that the USAK solid kilts had a hem.

I can't nor will I speak on behalf of Rocky. But, I do know that some of their PV material comes with a fringed edge, at least the tartan. I can only assume this saffron cloth has that same edge, hence the hem. I think it looks fantastic.

I really need a saffron kilt...

The solid saffron bolt came, but some lengths had a very POOR selvedge. We hemmed this one (free of charge) to give a nice clean appearance to the bottom edge. It's not the 'tuck selvedge' that is preferred, but an actual hem 2" high done on a blindstitch machine.

And yes... part of the reason we hemmed this kilt was b/c I wanted to play with the new 'toy' in the shop.

I am with you on that.. Rocky will be getting more of my money, maybe I will go with an Irish Green just incase I run into Dan somewhere and we are wearing the same kilt... LOL

Maybe I should wait until I wear my Irish National (my first kilt!) outside of the house before I start The Jones for another?

Anyway, it looks great. I can't wait to see it "in action".
