Scottish Night at the Ballpark, Savannah May 7
Calling all rabble in or near the Georgia coast!!.
To honor our Savannah Highland Games (May 9), the Savannah Sand Gnats, our local A-ball minor league team, will be having "Scottish Night" for the game on Thursday May 7 at Historic Grayson Stadium.
They have lined up some pipers, etc, but are looking for ideas to enhance the night. Their promotions manager came by the theatre today to discuss another promotion we have with them, saw me in my kilt and went nuts. She'd love to see kilted rabble in the seats and is open to suggestions for ways to involve kilted folk during the in-between innings promotions, etc and any other Scottish-themed ideas will be entertained.
My theatre, (The Lucas) has four box-seats, so at the very least I want to fill those up with X-markers so let me hear from you. For those of you who are driving in for the Savannah Games, I know that Thursday night may be a bit of a stretch, but give it some thought if you can... it would be great to make a good showing. And by the way, Thursdays at the ballpark are "Thirsty Thursdays" featuring Cheap Beer!! int:

There's about a 30% chance today and tomorrow, but Saturday is calling for sun all day with a high around 90. We're headed out to the ballpark shortly and pics will follow before too long. See you tomorrow!
