A curmudgeon of X-Markers! Rob
I vote for "pleat" of X Markers. Maybe this should be put to vote by one of the Mods?

I haven't read through the entire thread but we decided quite a while back that it was "rabble o' kilties" Quote from The Standard, Dumfries, Scotland - Friday, February 23rd. 2007. "The 'rabble' of kilt wearers (as they like to be called) all met through a website called XmarksTheScot...." I dunno, works for me.

I'm liking the sound of sett, too.
Well looking at it from a Kilt material view a pleat is a fold, a fold of X Markers- no A sett is a pattern, a pattern of X Markers -no But what do you have when you mass material together, a wad that workworks. Webster says that a wad is a soft mass of fiberous material. So a wad of X Markers
