I too, am strangely attracted to the animal print kilts. Great to wear to a kilt night at a pub!

It might just be me, but they all look about 1" too long. Gives them a "skirt" look rather than a "kilt" look. On the other hand it could just be a rubbish monitor.

Some of the fabric choices are, uh, unusual, innovative.

    The skarong? I think it's pretty skary . . .

Does anyone here have experience with this guy? The clearance kilts aren't a bad price.

I ordered one of the shiny denim combat Skilt from the clearance bin on 11 May. and it arrived today on 15 May! Breaking in the rather stiff denim right now.

    Skilt

I was considering ordering their shiny denim kilt, but I wondered just how shiny the fabric is.
How do you find it ?
Any chance of a pic ?

I'm putting a review together... Despite the name it isn't all that shiny. Just a subtle sheen when the light catches it a certain way, and only perceptible from close up. You won't have to worry about blinding any passersby :-)

The guy with the moustache reminds me of that villain in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Remember the guy who got nailed by the propeller?

Review of Shiny Denim Combat S-Kilt

Ordering and shipping: After reading this thread and following the link to the site, I was captivated by one of the clearance bin items. I kept going over the product page before deciding on the purchase. Ordered the item on 11 May, and on 15 May the postal carrier arrived with my new kilt. Not bad considering that it came all the way from London to Singapore.

Material and construction: The denim felt stiff and heavy and construction solid. This is going to be my hefty kilt so far. A unique feature is the band of velcro that runs around the outside of the waistband that serves as closure, as well as to attach the cargo pockets.

The two detachable cargo pockets are very roomy, and each pocket has two compartments: the outer pocket and a hidden one on the reverse side.

The pleats are individually sewn down, so they never fall out.

    Looks:
I wore it out to an outdoor concert and picnic.

Impressions: Overall I like the kilt. The heavy construction sets it apart from the three softer, lighter Amerikilts that I own. I have a slight concern with the velcro on the waistband though. Not only does it attract lint, its lifespan may not keep up with the otherwise rugged garment. The cargo pockets are roomy, but undoing the flap button can be difficult. While the hidden compartment is nice, they're a bit hard to reach when the pockets are attached. They also tend to spread to the sides much more than the kilt itself when sitting down, so I often have to tuck them back in.
Oh and don't let the 'shiny' deter you. The sheen is quite subtle and no one is likely to call it the 'disco kilt'.
