New to Southern Cal.
Well we hear so much from the Northern Cal. rabble I'm wondering whats going on in So. Cal.? I will be relocating at the end of the month I start a new job in Newport beach, and will be living in San Clamente. Looking forward to the new job and So. Cal. weather. Little nervous about the move, and wondering if I have to change my log in name.

I don't see why you would have to change unless you would want to. Everyone here already knows you by Arizona Scot.

You Will love it here! San Clamente is about 20 mintues north of me and its beautiful. I heard its the best place to live in So Cal. When you arrive and get settled down, we must have a kilt night.

Sounds good to me, the changing my log in name was a sad attempt at humor. It was late last night when I wrote the post. Looking forward to meeting all the So. Ca. kilties.

Welcome! We are down the road a bit in San Diego but there are lots of good kilt night places in between. Hope to meet you at the SD Games in Vista, if not before!

Welcome from the land of cacti to the so cal sunshine. San Clemente is a great spot. As Sydnie said there are some good kilted spots south of you and north of us. Vista games at the end of June are a lot of fun. Let us know and we will meet you there. We will have a kilted gathering that Saturday for sure.

San Clemente is nice and since it's right on the coast, you're going to have such a culture shock! In case you miss the heat, there's a great little pub in my 'hood about 40 miles southeast of you. It's just far enough inland that during the summer you'd think you were back in Arizona!
Welcome!

Ugh ya don't think I'll be missing the heat very much, my wife is from San Clamente and we go there about 3-4 times a year. So I am hoping to weather the cultural shock without to much damage. Thanks for the great response, this is making the move seem a little easier.
