Looking for a piper in St Louis

My USMC infantry company, Golf 2/7, from Vietnam is having our annual reunion in St Louis July 16-19. Since the president knows I am interested in the pipes, still doing scales on the chanter, he asked me if I know of a piper(a fellow Marine would be best) that might be available to play a bit at our BBQ/pool party Friday July 17. We haven't the budget to pay the going rate but the meal and refreshments for two will be my treat. I know it's not much but maybe there is a Marine piper out there that wants to share his war stories and hear some new ones.
 Semper Fidelis,
 Bruce

bobdunsire.com is a forum that is just for pipers and drummers. You may do better there.

			 StL Pipers...

No need to go to bobdunsire; here are three links to peruse:
St. Louis Caledonian Pipe Band: http://www.slcpb.com/

John Ford Highland Pipe Band: http://www.jfpb.org/

 Dave Gallagher, Irish warpiper: http://www.stlouisirishpiper.com/

Since this is for a military reunion, I would try John Ford first, since they are affiliated with the American Legion.

Let me know if you have trouble, and I can put you in touch with the Scottish St. Andrew's Society of St. Louis for possible leads.

 Yours aye,

 Todd

Thanks Erikin, Just sent a pm to Mr Sanders.
I should be in town the Wednesday before the reunion, where is the American Legion that was mentioned? That would be fun to pop in for a listen.

He's in Memphis, not St. Louis. I'm sure he would travel if need be, but the mileage wouldn't be cheap.

Mr Sanders and I have emailed several times today. It is too far for him but he did direct the search to some one in St Louis. The pipe major got back to me, he is going to announce it at the practice, today I guess. He said he had a couple Marine students but they are still abusing the chanter.
